« One morning, when our weighing teams were experiencing difficulties with their measuring tools, we initially thought it was a simple software anomaly. However, the programme’s editor quickly identified a suspicious file and alerted us that, worryingly, a virus was spreading throughout our computer systems. We immediately contacted our service provider, AXN Informatique, who took matters into their own hands.
We had always thought that such incidents only happened to other people, without realising the risks we were running just a few days before. In fact, we had no idea of the disastrous consequences we could have suffered, in particular as a result of a backup made on a simple USB key, stored in a drawer.

Thanks to the restoration of the Beemo backups made on D-1, we were able to work on our data files from the previous day from midday, and resume normal activity the following morning. In total, we only lost a few hours of activity.

What’s more, we and our teams are now particularly aware of the risks and the need for appropriate solutions to protect against them.
